How to Make the Most of Your Conference

We’re so excited to have you join us for the ROC Your Global Future Conference!

Attending conferences might be one of the best things you can do for your career and personal development. Now that you’ve registered, we want to make sure you’re best prepared to make the most of your conference. From prepping beforehand to having a great time while you’re attending, here’s what you need to know for our conference

  1. Attire + LinkedIn Photos
    A photographer will be available for free (yes, free!) LinkedIn pictures. Remember to dress appropriately if you would like to have your picture taken.
  2. Resume Review
    There will be breaks where you will have the opportunity to learn how to incorporate your study abroad experience on your resume. Remember to bring a copy of your resume to the conference and speak with a professional on how to market your adventure!
  3. Make Connections
    Throughout the day you will have the chance to network with experts in a variety of fields- build that relationship! From professionals, sponsors, presenters to study abroad returnees from all over the Rochester region, be sure to tell your study abroad experience and learn how to brand your story.
  4. Location
    The conference will be held at Rochester Institute of Technology, located in Rochester, NY at 1 Lomb Memorial Drive, Rochester, NY 14623 in the Student Alumni Union (also known as “SAU”). Free parking will be available to conference attendees in Lots D or E (no parking pass is needed). The SAU building can be found in the center of campus next to the library.
